We have an update about the timing of the release!
Originally, we had hoped to pleasantly surprise you by getting these releases to you as early as we possibly could—so we sent our masters to the pressing plant at the beginning of August, with the assurance that it would take a month to get finished. (As a side note, this is a new company that we haven’t done business with before, as Rainbo Records, who we’ve previously worked with closed after 80 years of business at the end of last year.)
As of our last newsletter, we were dealing with getting check discs for the Blu Rays done. Well, it was a good thing that we had asked for them, as the 1st conversions were done incorrectly, and missing the BD Rom content that we had included in the discs. After that, we were waiting for them to re-do the conversions, fix that problem, and send us a second set of check discs. While we were waiting for those discs, the company that handles key programming (nationwide) on Blu Rays went down! We waited, and waited, and then finally, last week we got the new check discs, and are happy to report that they were finally done correctly. We can also report that the CDs are already pressed, and the artwork is pressed as well. At this point, we are just waiting for them to print the Blu Rays, and ship everything to us. Our contact has said they should ship by the end of this week? We have been on him for status every few days. With any luck, we hope to be able to start shipping everything out before Halloween?
And finally, this is how 30 days turns into 2 1/2 months. Who says it’s easy releasing your own music! Whoooooosh!!!
On our end, we are all ready with signed posters & signed cards, and will be able to ship everything as soon as we get them in, and sign some more things!Meanwhile, here are some photos of the test pressings for now.It’s been a long journey to get these done.
