Tomorrow the 20th Anniversary Edition of Live at the El Rey will be up on all of the streaming sites, but the download is already on Bandcamp. The concert with the new audio will premiere on Youtube tomorrow Dec. 6th at 7pm Pacific time. We will be around for chatting during the video, so drop by and say hi.

More on the Live at the El Rey (20th Anniversary Edition)

Remixing Live at the El Rey has been something that Statik wanted to do for years. When we recorded the show, we captured everything live through our Pro Tools system. It was an amazing night, but mixing it was tough—there was a lot of drum and cymbal bleed in kaRIN’s vocal track.

Thanks to new stem-separation technology, Statik was able to clean up the tracks and give the album the clarity it always deserved. After finishing the Signals albums, Statik went back and remixed El Rey from the ground up.

This is how it was always meant to sound—the definitive version. It gives the songs a whole new dimension and captures the energy of that night perfectly.
