Wings of Steel - Core Remix (clip only)

Germany
Nils Schulte of Corebreach
DETAILS: I'm making music for about 15 years now, which is half of my life. My focus has always been on electronic music, espacially Industrial, EBM, as well as some experimental Ambient stuff. After some years of working with different musicians on different projects, i.e.
Interzone Inc., Obscenity Trial and code:I.N.E., I decided to start my own project.
I am currently working on the first album for my project "corebreach", which I hope will be finished soon, so that I can start searching for a label. By now I'm still collecting material and searching for a female vocalist for some of the songs, as I found the work with kaRIN's great vocals very inspiring. Corebreach is mainly an Industrial-Project, but I'm also trying to keep it open to other influences, such as Gothic elements, Synth-Pop, as well as classic influences and ethnic elements.

Wings of Steel - Atonement Remix

Germany
Oliver Wand of Atonement
DETAILS: Born 1973, with 16 I discovered my musical talents by starting to sing in
some smaller bands. In 1993 I founded my first EBM-Pop project "Obscenity
Trial". We made ourselves a very good name in germany due to a lot of live
gigs within the first three years, mainly as supporters for bands like
Suicide Commando or The Fair Sex (if you know them in the US). First CD
Release in 1996 and some sampler contributions. The band split in 1998 due
to personal reasons and was reactivated beginning of 2003. Between 1998
and 2003 I was guest vocalist on some german projects (live and studio)
and was concentrating more on singing then composing. In 2002 I founded my
solo-Industrial-project called "ATONEMENT".
EQUIPMENT USED: For this remix I used Cubase SX with Athmosphere, Battery, FM7, Trilogy on software-side and TX81Z and Kurzweil K2000.

Wings of Steel - Phantasm Remix

USA
VX from VX Music
ABOUT THE SONG: (about the song): the line "chasing the ghost of time" really spoke to us. we have all felt the menace of time moving perpetually forward, ticking away regardless of your feelings, widening the rift between love and loss... we started with the intro, where the soundscape is trance-like and the vocals are almost chanting. the mix continues to build, getting more and more frantic as the song progresses until it finally breaks, the music is quiet again and the kaRIN's vocals are left saying "i've come so near... yet so far," almost as an awakening or realization... the fantasy is gone. i think we did a pretty good job conecting the music with the emotions involved, illustrating that the past can seem extremely real and terrifying, even though it is only a shadow of the present.
DETAILS: (about us): along with remixes for wumpscut, deathboy, slick idiot and many others, vx has released two albums (incantation [2001] and the metamorphosis [2003]) and is currently finishing their third release, "sleep" which is due to be released in early 2004.
