Beautiful girl, beautiful music, beautiful voice. Does it get any better than that? Collide is one of the few truely Goth bands that I've heard of and music is like my life. One word-unbelievable. Now I just have to find out where to get the CD's. But by far compared to any other artist-Collide is just plain awesome.

I saw your link on http://www.illwillpress.com , and just randomly clicked on it...at first I though it was going to be some wann-be goth band like Evanescence, but when I listened to your music, I was amazed...As I read more of the stuff...I saw that your name was kaRIN...just like mine, I don't normally meet people eith my name, and, along with that, people hardly ever pronounce it right on the first try. do you pronouce it "cahr-in" if so...then, YAY!

Yes, that it why I do it in small letters and caps, to let people know how to say it. -kaRIN

Your music is great, I especially enjoy the gothic element to it, its more prominent then most modern music heard. I'm glad I happened upon this site, please continue writing music, until next time.

Hey, your music is awesome. You don't understand how much Evanescence and all these other kiddish bands piss me off, thinking that they are sooo cool and gothic, it's pathetic. I have the cd's Some Kind Of Strange, and Chasing The Ghost, so far I am very impressed. It's nice to have a favorite band that no one knows. I hate having the same favorite band as someone else. So thankyou for all the fantastic music you have provided me with. Your music is totally amazing, no words can express it. Later,
*Amanda

I read first of your music in Jane magazine (a reading of desperation on the graveyard shift). No kidding, I really did. The review was excellent, for all that Jane magazine can possibly know about intelligent music, but something told me I should see for myself.

I'm glad I did. Intelligent music indeed. Your vision is plain.

Well done.

I would have to agree with the previous reviewer. Your voice is like nothing I have ever heard. Your music is so delightfully painful to listen to. rarely do I feel music like this. Thanks very much to Collide and all those who participate in the making of this music.

StAtiK, kaRIN-
Talk about KILLER TALENT!!!!! I never write reviews and I had to review you guys with a five star rating on your music on Amazon.ca/.com .
I am a lover of Electronic music, and I had to come here and see you after your ear-candy music damn near knocked me off my chair! BIG TIME KUDOS to you and your success! kaRIN, your voice is purely angelic, and StAtiK- your electronic composition ( if not by both ) is spectacular. I have never immediately loved entire cd's worth of music until I heard Massive Attack, and Delerium... Please don't stop composing! You two deserve every good thing that you receive out of your success...Every song is so beautifully crafted - I had to listen to them up close and personal with good headphones... and man...talk about talent.
Thank you very much for your contribution to the electronic world of beautiful and original music. Hat's off to you!!!

All right. For the sake of my sanity, I am going to use proper English grammer. This is the most amazing website I have ever visited. The music of Collide is an awe inspiring fantasy. I discovered this through everyones favorite squirrel and thought it might be an interesting venture. After hearing "Crushed", I could resist no longer and the sheer beauty of the music had to be mine! HUWAHAHAHHAHAAA!! (evil laughter). Ok...I'm done. Go away. Stop reading! THERE IS NO MORE TO READ! I'M DONE! WHERE'S MY SLEDGEHAMMER?!?!?! (runs off into the shadowy night, never to be seen again....or am I?)

Dear Statik and KaRIN,
ever since the first note of your music struck my eardrums, I found myself floating into another dimension when I listened to your works. (No, I didn't need LSD for that ;) Well...it took only some time until I got interested in the people behind all this, and found out a little about your inspirations. Yet the mind's which weave the strings of this web which has caught so many souls (fans) might still remain a mystery to myself.
The point...well...somehow I wanted to thank you, for inspiring me, getting me pondering and all the time your music has sweetened for me. So I thought, what's better for an artist than to inspire and be inspired in return. Thus I'm asking you if you are willing to accept a work of mine and maybe form it into a song - if you like it.
Would be nice to get in contact.
sincerely yours .:}{:/\:/2:1):/\:C:.

When I hear collide the sound and poetry correspond to one another in symmetry. Especially the poetry/messages in the music has tapped many things in me, it also explains in images a lot of what is unseen and important. I have fell in love!!

It'z been about a week since Collide has been introduced to me...and I really have one comment...why in all the Nine Hells are they not international...of all the bands in the world...really I mean it...the world...to be international stars...it should be Collide...I've never in my entire life...heard music...so...alive...it really iz an inspiration...quite original...and quite ecstatic....I'm just...hmm...sorta confuddled...I believe that's the only non-word I can use to describe my feelings to the extreme undergroundness of this music...most excellent job...most definately excellant...Ciao

What an aural treat to find a band as emotionally charged as yours. I was hooked upon my first viewing of Son of a Preacher Man (from your site). From there I've picked up all your cd's either from a local store or directly from you. What a logical progression! The music just gets more dense and complex from cd to cd. Just totally out of the box composing and performing. I'm continually impressed as new favorites keep coming forward. Oh, and the vocals. kaRIN's voice wrapping around and enveloping the lyrics is an art in itself. Gorgeous, innovative music! Thanks for the insight into your world!

I do enjoy the site, but I am scared of goths and so I am not sure if i will buy your CD (I am frightened) but I think the music is nice, even though it scares me. *a quick smile* :)

-I was wondering if you guys think that Evanescence, Nightwish and Lacuna coil, The gathering are real goth/rock music?
We don't feel there is a need to classify bands into genres.
-Do you guys want to become famous? and more noticed?
More noticed wouldn't be bad.
-Do you have a music video?
yes for Son of a Preacher Man, check our Sound/Video page
-If so, I will request it on one of my music channels.

Thankyou. Bye :)

I was looking around for a new sound and a friend of mine gave me your CD's. I was blown away the within the first twenty seconds. Your sound is just so damn hypnotizing and sensual. It just flows like water. I'm a fan until I die now.

On another note: Have you thought about getting a better designer for the site? While the content is a thousand times better than most official sites, the look could get some work. You guys deserve a better looking site, and as a web designer I can say that your music gives a lot of inspiration to what kind of layout you guys could potentially have. Something very wicked and still easily navigational.

Keep up the hard work. Ever coming to tour in Japan? I'd spread the word like wildfire.

Collide is one of the most compelling, mesmerising and original bands that I've heard in a long time. I haven't been this enthralled with a band since I started listening to Siouxsie & The Banshees and Gary Numan back in the very early '80's. Statik is an incredible musician and Karin has one of the most sensual and hypnotic voices I've ever heard.
Sheer brilliance !!!!!! I have "Chasing The Ghost" and "Some Kind Of Strange" and look forward to purchasing the earlier works and, hopefully, many future works.
Keep up the good work and best of wishes to both of you !!!

I Usually listen to fast-pace, heavy music such as Cradle of Filth or God Forbid. A friend of mine was listening to the song "Monochrome" in his room one night. All I can say is that your voice hypnotized me through out the rest of the CD. I sat in a trance for what seemed like hours. I have always had tons of respect for female vocalists. Something about female vocals in music like this always gives it that extra push it needs. In a town like this (College Station, Tx) it's really hard to be introduced to music like yours. It's even more hard to find it! However, I have not given up all hope. There's always the internet. My best wishes go out to both of you. I hope you keep making your hypnotic music for years to come.

I truly believed that creativity with music had hit the wall until I heard "Razor Sharp" from a good friend of mine while driving around at night. Since then I've heard much more from you and I am gonna buy all of your CD's once I save up some money. All I can say is that your songs and words are amazing and I am hooked by them. When you decide to play your music live, I'll be there! If you want to visit AZ to perform, I'll try to get rid of the hideous weather here for both of you. Until then, keep sharing your gift. Thanks a lot.

Hi! I really appreciated the work . Visitor fI am at the gentle age of 14...and its a shame what the majority of my peers listen to...they think Good Charlotte or Sum 41 are absolute musical geniuses, while bands like Collide do not get any of the recognition they deserve...the underground offers the best music, and anyone with an ounce of musical aesthetics will tell you that. Ok done ranting...I discovered Collide, like basically all my music, through Amazon (God forbid if it slipped its way into a record store). Have Some Kind of Strange and Chasing the Ghost (which has the best album cover ever created next to Tristania's "World of Glass")...both of which are entrancing, intoxicating, beautiful albums...keep it up.
Best wishes from...New Jersey. :(

TGFMA! Thank Goodgooliemooglie For MacAddict! :-D
Hi,
I just thought I'd let you know that the "only reason" I've "found" Collide is because of my subscription to the magazine MacAddict. I've always enjoyed their cool way of introducing mostly, unknown to myself, artists with their/your really awesome music such as "Collide", and many so-so/ok types that I just click on by. Well, a couple of days later, I just purchased 2 CDs, SOME KIND OF STRANGE & CHASING THE GHOST and got hooked up on one of those free & cool t-shirts. I'll be back soon to p/u some more tunes and some goodies! Thanks again for taking a look at the MacAddict way of promoting your totally "fresh musical style that goes beyond the 3rd dimension!" I can only describe it as a fantastic combo of Karin's hautingly beautiful and "siren like", vocals combined with Static's super depth of sound and brillant mixing. WOW! I'm going to do my best to pass on the message on how uterly unbelieveable Collide sounds. Thanks again and keep it comin' I can't get enough and I'm not even finished listening to my 2nd CD yet!

I am a very big fan of TOOL and all the side projects they take part in, eg. APC. I also pay attention to their links and references. So, as by custom, when I read the April 2003 Newsletter, and saw your band's interview and pictures, I went to your site and listened, instantly becoming a fan. I plan to buy both your albums and trying to get any unreleased material. ;) Anyway, I am in love with anything "Gothic" and so this was eye-candy for me. I was sooo happy to receive a "chasing ghost CD" and two posters of "chasing ghost." One of the posters had autographs of Karin and Statik! (Does this mean the other poster with no autograph is a free copy for me?? yay! thank you!) Also, the CD sleeve had an autograph from Karin! wrapping was nice, too. I'm loving the CD! Thank you so much for granting my wish!

I'm not going to say who you should tour with or compare you to any bands. That would be putting you down and is just plain rude. This site is devoted to Collide, not Tool, Skinny Puppy or anyone else. And on that note I just wanted to say that I found collide through a random link and it was probably the best thing (musically) to happen to me in a while. The melodies that you create and the way you present your music gives me a lot of inspiration for the music that I am trying to create. Thank you for doing what you do and I hope you keep it up.

A friend of mine recently introduced me to "Collide" and I have enjoyed listening to everything they have made. I do enjoy goth/rock music, I love music overall, but this genre is one of my favorites. If there were to be a tour I think TOOL and/or THE CRANES with COLLIDE would be an excellent combination. THE CRANES are my favorite band and has its own unique sound that is awesome. TOOL is excellent overall as well, especially the stuff from the Anema album. Of course COLLIDE is COLLIDE, what more can I say, I looked for a site and I found one. I believe all three would make such an awesome mix. Thank You & continue the good work!

I really like what I've heard on the website (I found out about from Tools' website, the whole recording with Danny). Normally I like stuff like Nile, Gwar, or Pissing Razors, but Tool is my favourite band. And then there's time when I like to chill out and listen to KidneyThieves or Godhead. And your sound is a bit similar to theirs and that's what I like. I would like to hear your full length cds, where can I find them other than your website? Can I at places like Best Buy or Samgoody? Your music is great!

While searching through some newsgroups today, I stumbled across some of your music from Beneath The Skin. I'm always out looking for something new and different to listen to, let me say that it has been a very long time since something has made me stop dead and totally be engulfed by the essence of the sound. I was totally in awe of the voice that entranced me. I've never heard anything that is so dark and sensual @ the same time. I'm totally a fan of Collide now and it's only been a few hours since I found out about you. Definately going out and picking up a copy of Chasing The Ghost tommorrow. Love the art and pics on the site too. Keep up the great work, I'll be waiting on the completion of your next work.
