Jessica Martinez <AngelicDrgnFire@aol.com> Alvin, Tx United States - Sunday, December 01, 2002 at 01:11:45 (EST) It has always been hard to find a band that plays the exact music I want to hear for my many moods since I have mostly lived in third world countries most my life (hearing of anything other than mainstream music is damned near impossible). When I moved to the US a couple of months ago for college a friend here put on Chasing the Ghost. I was so happy to finally hear music that was a perfect parallel to my feelings. You guys really have a gift and I hope life treats you the way it should. Reuben Neff < Sarasota, Fl United States - Saturday, November 30, 2002 at 23:57:20 (EST) Hi Collide! I'm hoping it will be a little more "raw" I have chasing the ghost and beneath the skin, and of the two, beneath the skin would have to be my favorite. I'm still trying to track down "distort" I guess I'm just gonna break down and order it from here...or you guys could really make my life and send me a free copy...my B-Day was on Nov. 8th....:) Aric Dilbeck <Aric_D@yahoo.com> Okalhoma City, OK 73127 - Sunday, November 24, 2002 at 22:51:26 (EST) Really nice music! Kostas <mmmfff@La.com> London & Korinth, UK & Hellas - Sunday, November 24, 2002 at 22:10:07 (EST) The first time I ever heard of Collide was when I was in the Wesleyan Cross Country bus on our way to Cary Academy. My friend Amanda told me that she had heard of them from Troy VanLeewien, from A Perfect Circle. He said that Collide was one of the bands he listens to, and he mentioned Wings of Steel and Razorsharp. So Amanda let me listen to those two songs and Dreamsleep. After that I order Chasing the Ghost from FYE in the Oak Hollow Mall. Collide is one of my favorite gothic bands, along with Voltaire and The Cruxshadows. I love Karin's voice, it is very haunting, but blissful at the same time... I love you work, Karin and Static... Dusty <Dirty_pepper@hotmail.com> Phoenix, AZ USA - Saturday, October 05, 2002 at 06:46:35 (EDT) I have listened to your song "Razor Sharp", and I have to say I really like it. The music is very inspiring and evoking strong emotions. However, the vocals sound quite shitty due to the extrensive Vocoder use. Couldn't you have done without it? The Vocoder was interesting in the late 70's after its market introduction but today it is so boring. I'd like to hear KaRIN's voice with only minimal effects to be able to recognize how good she is as a singer. John Doe <john@doe.com> Atlantis City, Republic of Atlantis - Friday, October 04, 2002 at 06:07:23 (EDT) Ok, so it had been a while since I was here (at your site), but I had to come and say...F! WOW! I have listened to a LOT of music over the years and I have to say that without any doubt at all Collide is simply the best band in existance at the moment. If you read my glowing reviews at Amazon, you will see what I mean. Statik- You are a genious- love your layering of sounds and blends of style , and depth- good mixing too. I played "violets dance" on a very expensive stereo a few days back, and it sounded incredible. kaRIN- you have an absolutly amazing voice, totally gorgeous. It is a cliche, and an aweful one, but you have an angels voice. I thought Curve had the best lead singer alive today, but I am afraid to say that they have truely been knocked off there perch. I am running out of adjectives, but all I can say is --more! Come to New Zealand! The vocals are very lulling, and what's more, they remind me of a beautiful monocrome hallucination of an angel or something. This is how pop music should be like, beautiful and melodic and classy. Totally unfabricated music, you are writing some timeless songs. Cheers Joe <avalancheonpause@aol.com> Chicago, IL USA - Wednesday, August 28, 2002 at 00:07:09 (EDT) I was just sort of wondering, is kaRIN and Statik together... as in going out or married? Clayton - Tuesday, August 27, 2002 at 17:42:18 (EDT) Normally we don't post responses on our own guestbook, but the last entry left us confused, and although we think it's obvious how to get one of our cds, maybe it's not... No matter where you are from, Alaska or Australia, all of our cds are available directly from us, though our merchandise link. Not only is it easy, but buying something directly from an artist is the best way to support an artist. -Statik and kaRIN Statik <xcollide@aol.com> - Tuesday, August 27, 2002 at 14:46:09 (EDT) Just doing my routin visit to your site. I finally got my hands on a copy of chasing the ghost. I love everything about it except for the fact that its a burnt copy. I want the origanal soo badly but It is not easy to find in Alaska. I went through a lot of trouble just to get the cd "distort". It cost me $50.00, but it was worth every cent. I am currently on a search for the original chasing the ghost. oh, maybe you could answer a question for me. at the begining of the cd on the first song. I can hear Karin saying something as part of the background music. I have been able to figure out the last word of the first sentence which is "reason". but I can't figure out what she is saying. I love the song just wish I understood that part. As always your lyrics and sound engulf the listener. I'm one of the few people I have seen that can really get lost in your music. I actually dance to each and every song. my mother can't figure out how I manage to move to such exotic beats. she says its odd but I pull it off nicely. the best part about your music is that I don't really think of it as music. Its art all the way. people would say that all music is art but I believe only a select few could actually be just that. Rap and a lot of hip hop just isn't art to me. useless rhymes without reason, no point in it but popularity. thats not art. but this is. well, I guess I've spoken to myself long enough. keep the music/art comming. I work for an advertising agency in London. Our agency represents direct marketing companies that are involved in the marketing of products as seen on TV in England. Most of the infomercial products come from the U.S. but then again we export our talents as well. My brother has appeared in infomercials in the U.S. advertising various products. Start making art and make it origanl and make it come from somewhere else. Reach your whole self out and find your own connection with a god form with it. Or something like that..... I don't know what to put....... Shaun <ruinrust@hotmail.com> Port St. Lucie, FL U.S.A. - Sunday, December 02, 2001 at 11:19:44 (EST) HARD DANCING SLUTS POSITIVE RAVING QUEER! Chris Mccready <grindspoon@hotmail.com> Somerset, KY USA - Wednesday, November 21, 2001 at 16:51:53 (EST) Hey I just stumbled upon your cover of White Rabbit. I was blown away. Yes. Blown. I'm serious. I can't see how any of your songs could be bad since you obviously have "the vibe" within you. I don't think you'll stay in the shadows very long, even if you may want that. ;) Great music. I'll definitely check out more of your music. By the way, if you ever want to do a show with us, or should I say, let us do a show with you, it'd be, well, pretty sweet and juicy. Check us out...www.nakedspoonmusic.com è bientút Polmol <polmol@hotmail.com> Angers, Outaouais QuÚbec - Wednesday, November 21, 2001 at 10:39:03 (EST) You guys are so totally awesome!! Once again I would like to reiterate that you guys are the greatest electronic act out today, but I believe you need better marketers, and promotion as I feel with the correct team behind you, you could end up being one of the greatest artists of the decade...
